anything but

Hyper focused on
anything but
Without notice— gone
Back in your rut

You have so much to love
As such, so much to lose
When push comes to shove
It’s never love you choose

Conjure up your newest plan
Desperate— never justified
As you run to any man
For a fix— you’re never satisfied

You brought a life into this life
Now show her that hers matters
Before her life’s consumed by strife
Unfazed as her heart shatters

Hyper focusing
on anything but
Today’s psychosis brings
You already forgot

You have so much to love
As such, so much to lose
When push comes to shove
It’s never love you choose

Quick to be selfishly projecting all your troubles
Subjecting her to such unnecessary struggles
You threaten to take your own life knowing she’d always suffer
It’s hard enough just to survive— how could you make it tougher?

Conjure up your newest plan
You demand— expect to be supplied
As you run to any man
For a fix— you won’t be satisfied

A child should be without worries, not consumed by anguish
And not be forced to comfort you— without means to vanquish
It’s clear to see you’re sincerely devoid of any conscience
Your rationale is lacking all as you spew only nonsense

You brought a life into this life
Now show her that hers matters
Before her life’s plagued by your spite
The “gift” that always batters

Hyper focused on
anything but
Without notice— gone
Your eyes are shut

You have so much to love
As such, so much to lose
But when push comes to shove
What is best, you still refuse

You brought her life into your life
Now show her that she matters
You’ve failed her once 1000 times
Your words, just empty chatter

Hyper focused on
Hyper focused on anything
Hyper focused on anything but

You have so much to love
Should be easy to choose
But when push comes to shove
You think of an excuse

A life so easy to love
But you care only to use
While she’s deserving love
You continue to abuse

You’re incapable of love
And guilty just as accused
