My Savior

I lean not on my own
Understanding but His
I trust in my Savior
My heart to Him I give

I know God is with me
He never leaves my side
He’s my king and my father
From him I cannot hide

And nor do I want to
It is Him that I seek first
Each day when I arise
I feel my heart burst

Wide open with His love
And gratitude so true
First thought in my mind
Is Jesus, Thank You!!

For waking me up
For another new day
For loving me in such
A perfect tender way
