THE LOWLY CARPENTER

The lowly Carpenter of Nazareth was
the mighty architect of the Universe
with just a word, he spoke into existence
all creation at the beginning of time.

When He created Adam from the dust
& Eve out of Adam's rib, as he slept
they were made in the likeness of God
And Jesus saw that what He'd made was good.

How quickly mankind failed in walking with God
as the whole population was wicked & evil
only one family on Earth were just
so God flooded the whole Earth with water.

Every living being - both man & beast
were destroyed in the flood, save six
as many years passed, mankind again
was pronounced guilty of wickedness.

So, Jesus had to die on an old rugged cross
to save all sinners like you & me
and one day he's coming back to Earth
to take His own to Heaven some day.

About this poem

I'm a Christian woman & most of my poems are about my Savior, Jesus Christ. This poem was my way of talking about my Lord to draw those that don't have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
