The Exchange

Another day passes, with that monotonous routine.
It's kept you sane, just for now, no need to intervene
It's dependable, safe, your little comfortable space
But why are you content, with that mortal embrace?

All those dreams that you had, what happened to them?
Did this life that you're living, bring it to it's end?
That fire, inspiration, the drive to succeed
Did you throw it all away, for something safe and guaranteed?

You were passion incarnate, filled with desire.
The need to not be, like those who came prior
So why are you following this mundane path?
Instead of relentlessly pursuing the things in your heart?

Think for a moment, what have you done for yourself?
What steps have taken in building your wealth?
Don't be confused, wealth doesn't always mean money
It's the things that can help you, paint a picture more sunny

Time to stop this facade, and tell you what's true.
You've settled into this life, you're not truly you.
Yes I know what you mean, you had to do what's expected
But that plot of dreams that's submitted should not be rejected.

The Exchange, it must stop, it's been only one way.
You have to now, put your dreams on display.
So what are you willing to do, in pursuit of your goals?
Step out of the comfort, that's how you'll grow.
