Man

Despite the shadows that surround me
And foes who try hard to ground me
I'm free to do whatever I please
Not one has been able to bound me

I try and conquer whatever I find
Fought battles of each and every kind
But the toughest feud I've ever faced
Is none other, than my own mind

God himself has sealed my fate
Left me the choice to amend its state
Now it's up to me to choose
Between the rivals, love and hate

If I choose hate, I shall regret
For my seclusion, will make me fret
But I shall rise, if I choose love
And my ecstasy shall know no threat

When in pain, I do not whine
I suffer a lot, but never resign
For undoubtedly I shall prevail
But I'll stay just and benign

I was to do great since my birth
And great I did upon this earth
I am the best of god's creations
I am a man and that's my worth
