How Shall I Compare You

Jayant 2003 (Delhi)

Shall I compare you to that fair golden moon but it is pale and scarred too,
I shall be your author and you be my rhyme,
You are too fair and too beautiful,
May you reign in me and forever you shine.

Shall I compare you to a crimson red rose but that entails thorns too,
In every moment of my life, your need is ever present,
You are too pretty and too faithful,
You are a joy that makes my life ideally pleasant,

Shall I compare you to a melodious cuckoo but that is coloured in black too,
A desire and a hope that every being wish for,
You are too seraphic and too peaceful,
That has bestowed my life with charm and loving decor.
