The markers for good,bad and ugly-
On the historical timeline have changed only so slightly,
The proletariat provided the priests-
Their experiences of famines and feasts,
To lift off their weary chests their woes,
A nearly accurate representation of highs and lows.
When social media came into existence,
It was a virtual confessional for promotion and penance-
Put to vote your life’s highlights,
The worthy wins ,fears and fights-
A feedback loop since the Middle Ages,
Has always sifted the sinners from the sages.
