HAVE OR HAVE NOT

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

What do you have if you do no not have yourself? People come and go in this story that we call life, all playing some character to teach the reader, who are you a lesson; it is up to us if we want to be prepared or to be caught repeating it.

What do you have when constantly climbing up and down the mountain? Honestly, you have the sound of life beating inside your heart and triumph inside your mind.

I do not know the word defeat because I can only defeat myself and no one else. I am my demons which I must face, and I walk with my angels that I must embrace, be their dead or alive they all are helping me to believe in this life, telling me to live and not just survive.

Have or have not; what is it that you & I speak of? Is it materialistic bullshit that we do not have the money to buy? Guess what? You can not take carry-ons when you die.

You have seen the rise and fall this time. I will stay on my feet to answer that bell to answer that call because it can not rain all the damn time; I do not care who I blind; all I need to say is watch my shine.

Have or have not, I would rather have love, peace, and understanding than all the riches in the world, for the air that I breathe is my true blessed treasure.
