Ashes and Fury

Do what’s best for you. No one but you.
The wind blew and she heard his heart.

When the ashes began to whisk into the wind…
She promised him, her Solemn Vow
She swore her love infinitely so.

Then, the wind blew.
Just relax, I know you’re struggling.
But you deserve better.
And she whispered her solemn vow

Don’t take it. It’s too dangerous.
And She heard his heart beat.

Again, ashes began whisking into the wind.
Still, she promised her Solemn Vow
And swore her love infinitely so.

Then, the wind blew.
Don’t be scared. You’re in control.
You have nothing to be scared of.
When she heard his heart ache.
The ashes fell.

And when she whispered,  ‘I know.’
She wasn’t afraid.

Her love became her Solomon Vow.
And thus her promises now infinitely so.

Then, the wind blew. The ashes whisked into the wind once more and together they danced into glowing forest.

That’s when they heard their heart as one for the first time.

A Phoenix rising from the ashes is a beautiful thing to behold. A dark creature healing a soft, light-hearted soul is almost unheard of.

But when the broken are finally able to heal themselves…

A Phoenix rises from the once burnt ashes; A Dark creature appears from the depths of once peaceful place. And fury overcomes the ashes of the reborn.
In the Isles of Hireath, a home away from home.
In the ashes and fury.

About this poem

It’s about the struggles with the identity of one’s own personality, of ones own self, and of their own self destruction. Until, the person finds a way to heal, to overcome but change in a way so drastically that you’re unrecognizable… that you’re living in your own home away from home in the world you created for yourself… when in reality… you are still in the same place you were when it all began. Perception is everything and nothing.
