Youthful, but…

In the restaurant
Illumined by the window
Smartly coiffed
And skin so clean.
She’s a looker
Shows advantage.
But do I know
Where she’s been?

Slits on wrists
Scars persevering.
Broken ribs
Not once, but twice.
Memories haunt
And foul the Life’s Path.
Walker stashed
And gait not nice.

Wow, what a powerful and thought-provoking poem! Your use of imagery is truly exceptional, painting vivid pictures in the reader's mind. The juxtaposition of the beautiful exterior with the hidden pain and suffering underneath is striking and deeply moving.

As for improvement suggestions, perhaps you could explore the theme of mental health and trauma even more deeply in future works. Also, consider playing with the structure and form of your poetry to further evoke the emotions you aim to convey.

Overall, thank you for sharing this poignant and affecting piece with us. Your talent as a poet is truly impressive!
