Zigzag wind

Of the times you put me in your lap and brought me home

The so many stars I mapped out as it got dark

The way I looked at you

The slow rhythm of your breathing and the zigzagging wind

Everything so unique

I hope the wind never extinguishes

The flame in my gaze

It usually crosses over

You usually go through the portal of time and always be

Your hair covered my face and the taste of the evening

The dramatic silence... after finding you in my private world

The whispers, the laughter and the lights in the background

Everything made it seem cinematic
And surreal

I hope the lights never go out

While I'm there

Do you ever come through

You used to go through the time portal and always be

I stand before you

I'm sharing the same ground

Making sure the gateway stays open

I'm standing in front of you

Holding your hand

Squeeze it

About this poem

About the moments that two people spent together and one is gone in this vastness, but remains in the memories that always come back.
