You
I saw somebody the other day that reminded me of you
My breath was expelled from my lungs
A fleeting glance, a second or two
Memories returned like a song unsung
To hear your voice, laughing with a cheeky smile
Humming along to your favourite tune
I feel happy but sick, my stomach churns another mile
But I don't want to leave incase it is all gone too soon
I reach out my hand expecting to touch your shirt
To feel your warmth to smell your skin
My mouth is dry with a sudden thirst
Please stay a while longer, please let me in
A sudden noise sends me falling down to the ground
Gaining my sense of the here and now
My eyes search the faces in the crowd
But once again you are gone and all I am left with is...
