Yen For The Key

Aries Sylvester 2008 (Bremerton Washington)

Ode

Dear 5104 Illahee Road,
You are so worthy of this ode,
Your pillars stand high,
Where the birds can fly,
And oh my, your view is one to see,
If only I could have your key,
For I could see and open your doors,
And finally fall for your beautiful floors,
Oh how I long to open your drawers,
And take a few endless tours,
Oh how you make the morning dew shine,
You are simply the most divine,
Oh and your garage I wish was mine,
Alongside your fine hearth made of stone,
Makes me feel not so alone,
If only I could hone the guts to steal,
I would worship you and seal the deal,
Your endless view makes me feel,
So envious as I write this spiel.

About this poem

I wrote this ode because I constantly drive by a house that I wish I could call my own.
