Living in the darkness

The old mansion stands so still,
Dark and filled with chill,
A window moan, a broken floor
The devil lurks in, luring me in more.

Sadness fills the empty air
As I walk around no one there,
The shrine of evil in this hallow space
Come darkness and turn upon my face.

Through the dark I search for light,
For something to make it all alright,
But the darkness lingers on
And I’m consumed by the soul of the night.

My soul succumbs to pure dread
As I find there’s evil here now spread,
My fate has been sealed in the shadows
And I find myself becoming the undead.
