Inner darkness

Under the veil of darkness,
Lies the shroud of despair,
The darkness hides demons,
All that is unholy and unfair,
Always waiting for a chance,
To pull you to your knees,
Dark will get you if you fall,
The demons it would please,
But this battle you can win,
Dreaming thoughts of hope,
Shrug off the veil of doubt,
And know that you can cope,
You are strong if you believe,
 No need to reason why
The power is in your mind,
You can conquer if you try.
