goodbye dad

You never said I'm leaving You never said goodbye You were gone before I knew it and only mom knew why a million times I needed you but you were never there, you made up excuses why you weren't a million time I cried a million times I screamed your name but you didn't come the father I wanted the father I needed was nothing more than a coward left me for drugs and everything else he could get to left me because he was addicted to drugs, I asked a million times for you to stop but it took a whole new daughter to make you stop then that's when you loved me not before when I needed you but after when I didn't, I cried myself to sleep for 13 years, and you want to be in my life now it's too late I've tried to give you chances but its not enough you made me promises you couldn't keep my mom was right as much as i didn't want to believe her because you were my dad you were my hero I wanted so bad for you to be my dad it took 13 years for me to realize you don't love me you love Amy more than me 13 years dad you had your chance you chose drugs over me your daughter you're nothing but a coward and you'll never be anything more i didn't know what to do without you so I tried to love you but when I did you just left this is goodbye forever dad I'm sorry for everything I'm sorry i wasn't good enough
