Fateful day

When life felt too heavy to bear,
And work seemed too much to share,
A person felt lost and alone
With nowhere to go, no one to phone.

A dark cloud had descended on their soul,
And they wanted to give up their goal,
To end it all, to bid farewell,
To a world that had become a living hell.

But then, on a lonely street,
A furry friend they did meet,
A dog with eyes so warm and kind,
That brought light to their troubled mind.

No longer alone, but with a faithful mate,
The person felt a sense of fate,
That this chance encounter was meant to be,
To help them through their misery.

Together they walked, through sun and rain,
Finding joy in simple things again,
And slowly, life began to mend,
A newfound hope, a better end.

With each passing day, their bond grew strong,
And nothing could go wrong,
For in the dog's unwavering love,
The person found a reason to live above.

Thus, a tale of hope and friendship unfolds,
A happy ending that's worth to be told,
Of a person who found a reason to stay,
Thanks to a dog they met one fateful day.
