Breakup

Ekaterina Kravchenko 1982 (Kherson Ukraine)

You struck my face, I was disgraced! In my polka dot dress begging you to stay! To my dismay you proceeded to call me names! Push me, shove me, violent eyes smell of liquor on your putrid breath,
Your hands which I adored strumming your guitar gripped tight around my shoulders!
You chose the witch, when you could have had the queen! The pauper, idless, dumb and narcissistic! Egoistic! Self pompous maniac whose jealousy  tail spinned you in constant lying, cheating and deceiving! The name calling, the threats of breakups, my constant tears, your evil half smile observing, deciphering and acting so cool infront of my friends! You had a way out with me! Instead you took her and now you’re forever bonded! I’m Free spirited half broken Angel who loved too much! My safety was threatened my closed ones were worried… sure, I’ve made a few mistakes, but for Goodness sake I no longer want you! I find you repulsive you don’t deserve the purity of my soul! You hide behind Jesus, yet you’re not clean! You’ve made me reckless with abandon my dreams for sake of dreaming! You left me many times! You left!

Ekaterina Kravchenko

I’ve been writing poetry since I was 13, when my mother beat me at home while my dad was constantly making ends meet delivering pizza. I went to public schools and graduated with a daycare license. I draw, play piano, read novels and watch Law and order svu and friends on television in my spare time! I have younger siblings affected by abuse and trauma. I’m in therapy and I hope someday to be a counselor for drug addicted teens. I love going to museums and attending musIc venues. My late grandmother Klavdia Shevchenko who is now in Heaven is always with me in spirit inspired me to create! Live, love and learn! more…
