Trying to cope

Free verse
Riding in a car trying to forget
Blocks out of heart just to linger in the mind
Can’t forget because it seems wrong
But if it hurts do I still play along
Is missing you a choice or can’t be help
Sleep it off so they can’t tell
I still love you even though you’re dead
Still remember when i found out
I saw red
It wasn’t right I see now but can’t help to wonder how
