Broken Dreams

      These feelings, apparent, so easy
       to see,
       are breaking the heart that’s inside
       of me.
       I’m taking them out, I’m finding
      a place
      to put them safely, just in case.
      Can’t breathe with them in there,
      may never again.
      Can’t imagine my life without you
       my friend.
