FIGHT

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

You do what you need to do to get through the day, looking for a sign, the light that you can only see inside of yourself, and nobody else comes on, shed a bit of darkness, and like a prize, a fighter comes out and fight.

Don't stay down too long. That's what they want you to be in the moment but do not stay too long. I promise you that it will get better. It would help if you remained strong. Let them call you what they will. It is a reflection of them like a shadow that never stands still.

Yeah, it is hard not to give in but remember, it is all the strange ones who were meant to win. It never has to mean the end. Remember, you got to fight, and you are never alone. You may not know me, only my words, but I have been to you before, and now you can call me your friend.

It is not worth your life; the beautiful child is like a sunflower and grows out in the wild. If you need me, just call my name, and please do not forget you and I are the same fighters, warriors, and survivors, never victims. So take my hand and let us stand together.
