Joy Made Complete
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
I do what you give me to do
And then Father it’s all up to you.
I say what you give me to say
And then Lord I just wait and pray.
You’re in every good thing that I ever knew,
Jesus you’re the only one who’s ever been true.
Even though I don’t understand all you say,
You come here and work with me every day.
I know I don’t deserve to have this blessing it’s true;
I thank God it doesn’t depend on me, but only on you.
Daddy your love is worth more than this stuff,
Of this world and it’s pleasures I have had enough!
Father come quickly and save us from our schemes,
You’re in everything I think about and in all my dreams.
