A Mothers Cry
Vera Prince 1949 (Hospital)
I see a young mother, roaming the streets begging anyone she meet, crying out for help
Maybe she is to blame, at a young age she brought her mama shame.
I see a young mother, trying to survive to keep
Her and the kids alive going from door to door
Sometimes sleeping on the floor. Is that the price
for being poor.
I see a young mother, picking herself up, going back to school no more being a fool, letting no one use and abuse her, common sense prevail she is on the path to becoming an outstanding citizen again
I see a strong mother, living the good life, no more misery and strife, no more sleeping on the floor, she now have the Keys to her own door.
