Adieu
Her presence, a warm prequel unto,
A silhouetted and picture-perfect view,
As she bathes in the shade from the light's adieu
Amidst the beach sand tans and Atlantic blues
Her ethereal presence so captivating
Immortalized within a dying light
A perfect symmetry of giving and taking,
Day unto night from sunset to sunrise
Her scent is an oceanic perfume,
Her silhouette, a picture-perfect bloom,
Drip-drying in light of the night's salute,
Amidst the beach sand tans and Atlantic blues
About this poem
It was written in inspiration of a painting depicting a lone woman on an empty beach watching the last few minutes of sunset as shadows began to creep upon the beach.
