Beer on a round table

Those times were in the past
And now only the memories remain
On a round table we all sat
Discussing and chatting happily
Drinking our beer and laughing heartily
We drank and drank and drank
Bottles of beer all littered around
Even in our drunken state we still held onto each other
Muttering incoherently what we felt in our heart
But those times were now gone
Only to be engraved deeply in my mind
As I sat alone on a round table
Smiling to myself while sipping my beer
