Have to fix some taps.



You look at me
And those nights embraced
Raise their little heads.
Calm, enticing times we had.
So naturally entwined.
So casual in topics enjoyed.
So rich in common thought
Waves.
I start a sentence.
You finish.
You jab me in the rib
Then hug me
Long and hard and rightly.
This afternoon I saw
You in the Mall
With the girls.
Springing up so beautifully.
Always thought they looked
Most like your Mom.
Barry’s girls.
The second adopted
By you two.
But I didn’t go over.
Didn’t talk.
Headed for Hardware.
Plumbing work in my Apartment…
