Annie’s Song

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

I listened and heard what you had to say,
I’ll put it into practice in my life today.
My strength and my honor you have restored,
O Lord God Almighty my great reward.

Apart from you Lord my life was shattered,
My hopes and my dreams had all been scattered.
You lifted me up and you said: Do not fear;
Your time of refreshing is now drawing near.

Come cover these hills with your love O My Strength.
To you alone I will forever give thanks.
I’ll sing O Lord as I’m praising your Name,
Holy Spirit of Jesus in my heart now remain!
