Fortress of Fall

For Emil Varda

In the groves of my weakness,
Like in some temple
As in the intricate caves of Altamira ...
Rainbow stalactites of vanity, there -
I passed by tearing off the soles
Expensive Italian leather boots.
In a life of a pilgrimage, in half the time ...

In Lublin, in Rome, and in Budapest,
In Latina (for refugees),
In Catania or Ragusa, and
In the Garden of Eden of Siracusa, in Sicily -
Where the grotto is called Oreccio di Dionisio, that is
Ear of Dionysius, nearby
Greek and Roman amphitheaters,
Among the blooming rhododendrons and birds,
And in New York, at the Waverly Inn,
End at Far Rockaway.
And also in West Hampton Beach, on
Long Island - where I met, last summer -
Armenian girl Zianna K. charm
And longing for her forbidden - for some reasons - love,
I'm still dreaming
At the gates of the Fortress of Fall.

Still in the caves of weakness
Mighty Fallhold.
It rises high and continues.

And at home, in a dark hallway
In front of the door stands -
Waiting for the door to open
And not knocking ...
Friend.

“You don't choose friends - they come
And they are, whatever happens, they are and they are! " -
Like a blessing. Like a protective shield.
Against the demons, fallen angels of Evil.

The warmth of street women - momentary,
Before entering the drawbridge, to
Fortress of Fall, on
That you don't regret a penny,
Vanity is sweet, and the comfort of that
However, there are still good women in this world ...
Ironically, in front of the Fortress of Fall!

I traced my finger across the map for years.
Green lowlands, orange and brown mountains,
And also the blue paths of the river,
And the lakes ...
I couldn't find the fortress or
Ruins of it, as in the Templars
A great secret ...

The Master said:
Dear student! Open it up
Your heart - wide. Over there
You will find a fortress you do
Looking for.

Whatever you hear, only
Remember this:
Temple of the Fortress you are looking for -
It lives in you.
For so many years, so stubbornly
You raised it up and did you unknowingly (?)
By erecting the Chinese Wall - in front of oneself -
Your real, and the world that
It separates you.

So I guess it's high time
Rise higher. With the help of and
On the wings of Grace ...
Mighty Almighty,
Divine Transcendence.
