Broken promises of a Oilman

Broken promises of a oilman

Loving while in the patch is not easy
We can set boundaries and plead our commitment,
But this line of work breaks those boundaries and tests that commitment it’s hard on all parts but the hardest isn’t about the physical beating or the  head aches that come.
The hardest part is saying I love you 100 times through out the day and 100 not being enough.
The hardest part is agreeing to do house hold chores and activities but knowing a cozy bed and holding you is far more anticipated than anything.
The hardest part is when im driving away back to work and hearing how much needed outings and your wants were not met.
The hardest part is working with the thought of having you wait for me and stand by me when all I do is work.
The hardest part is wanting so badly to be in your arms but Opening my eyes in the same boots under the same hard hat.
The love we share is
Wounded with every goodbye
Replenished with each hello
Salvaged by every kiss
And
broken with every unfulfilled promise.
Life is short
In the end we only have 100 years to make our love last .
Broken promises is not the life I want for us but it seems no matter what I do losing you is what always happens. I loved you as you came and hate who you have become but together in a time before is a love that doesn’t exist anymore.
