Leap

Hear the lap against the lime
Wake and wave sweep and whine as
Crests coax your calcified cage
Back beneath the brine.
Delving depths of deepest wells
The wishes sold on shining shells,
Soul and soil, scar and stele,
Amalgamated as you fell.
Ascension from bleakest breadth
Recession from stilted breath
flickering upon the wall
Alexipharmic, fevered fall
Brackish pitch is borne from bone
Broken, browned, by thorn and throne
All that ail will lie alone
Transmuted into stone
