The Gloom of my Room

ANUSHREE MANNUR 2007 (Maharashtra)

Did he know how much it’d hurt when he left
How would he know about the theft
The theft he did as he left the room
Filled me with so much gloom
Theft of time , theft of love
Theft of patience and me left unloved
All i wished is for a happy end
But didnt know he had no time to lend
The lights of your room ,The mirror on that wall
Makes me wonder , If i were ever yours
You told me You’d call me back
Call back once the term resumed
Would i ever assume
I was being fooled
The calls, The texts, The letter
Makes me go sweet and bitter
The wrappers of your candies
Still lie in the litter
Did he know about my heart
Which shattered as he threw the dart
The dart which broke me apart
Guess i'll never be able to restart
Did he know about the theft
Theft of time, theft of love
Theft of patience and me left unloved

ANUSHREE MANNUR

Myself Anushree Mannur. I study in Class 9.I would say that I am a very personalized writer.Writing is my hobby and I like to put a lot of my emotions, experiences, and opinions into what I write. I like being able to make my writing something other people can connect to, or relate to in some way by generalizing the thoughts and experiences I'm writing about. I believe I have a strong relationship with the written word. I enjoy elaborating on minor details with a plethora of information. more…
