Bound Without Love

In the naked light she was torn
So I was the one who sworn
To protect her at all cost
To remove men from their lust
To let people find the light
To shine for everyone so bright

I fell deep in a hole
Whereafter she had stole
My heart and gave me breath
And sew my wounds underneath

And now I have grown
Like a plant that is lone
Onto the life she gave me
I was one to never see
What I have become
So ugly, yet so handsome
Being almost witchcraft
I blew the air from her raft

She started sinking
We drowned.

About this poem

This poem was written after me and my ex girlfriend broke up. It was about how I wanted to be her protector against inhumane decisions and people whom wanted to see her suffer. Then came the part where we were bound together, toxic and dying inside while we were sure we were meant to be. We were caught into creating a dark place for us, where we were together without love, couldn't see what went wrong.
