A Hidden Child

There’s a child inside everyone of us,
age makes us seem to forget.
Though time may have taken our youth away,
they’re not finished with us yet.

Why else do we get so joyful,
              when a holiday is here?
Or why do we get so giddy,
every time a loved one is near?

Yes, age may have taken our youth away,
but it will never take the child.
Each one of us has inside of us,
                         free and running wild.
