A Window of Opportunity

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Your cities and your towns
And your houses lay in rubble
Because you could not see the day
The day the Lord called trouble

You only focused on the lies
And shared them with your brothers
Wherever you would look
You’d fail to see the many others

Lord open up my eyes
Like those of Elisha’s servant
Let me see the many others
On the mountains where they were sent

Help me to discern the reasons
That you sent them to me
Help me to be transparent
So, the world can see through me
