Time

Tick tock,
screams the vicious clock,
with hands that move too slow.

When life takes its grip,
the seconds do slip,
and the bottom falls out below.

Blink and you miss,
that life can be bliss,
It all depends on you.

Enjoy all life’s quirks,
see them as perks,
and remember this to be true.

In an instant its lost,
and oh, what a cost,
when the sand has slipped away.

We look back to the clock,
with its tick and its tock,
and we long for yesterday.
