Going Down

This morning’s  a mess
And it ain’t slowing down
I’m feeling lonesome
And there’s no one around
Help me wake up from
This nightmare I’ve made
Why can’t I feel myself
Falling on the blade?

Help me

Help me

I can’t get out

Help me

Help me now

I’m feeling blessed
But I won’t put aside
The things I could have said
That might have made it right
I’m losing myself all over again
And I won’t be found
Why can’t I feel myself
Going down?

Help me

Help me

I can’t get out

Help me

Help me now....

About this poem

I wrote this very free form as I was listening to a prerecorded track that you could purchase. I truly wish I had. I never wrote it down before this moment. For my sister who died at 53.
