broken dreams

Last night I had a dream that you died,
In that dream all I did was cry.
I could see you like I see you now,
But no one else could.
I do miss you but were no good,
If I could change a man believe me I would.
You moved on now and I have to,
for some strange reason my heart wants you.
You broken, beaten and misused my heart,
And for this I am fully aware,
But when my eyes see you all I can do is stare.
Your goddesses body and you long silky hair,
To tell you how I truly miss you,
I wouldn’t dare.

About this poem

I wrote this poem in regards to a person that I once loved. I had an awful dream about him, and it broke my heart, but I didn’t have enough courage to tell him how I felt, so I wrote a poem.
