Blue Balloon

Look, Look, Way up high,
Past the clouds into the sky,
I let it go just like a kite,
Do you think it will fly into the night?
I feel just like a darkened moon,
For I just lost my Blue Ballon.

About this poem

I wrote this poem for my daughter when she was 2 years old, back in 1998. She is now 26 and doesn't remember the incident but is happy that I wrote it down as a memory for her.
