As The Years Go By

Eva Mae Gross 1961 (Kentucky)

You Were So Small When I First Held You.
But As The Months Passed You Grew.

Each Year I Watched You Run And Play.
To Get More Independent Each Day.

You Became a Preteen Then A Teen.
Then Your Dad And I Became A Team.

I've Never Been More Proud Of In The Adults You've Become.
In This Race You Call Life You've Run.
