A River of Light

A River of Light

I listened to a river of light this morning
racing away from the Sun
photons laughing and splashing in the coruscation
cresting into waves
subsuming themselves
in the sheer joy of musical excitation,
the exquisite quivering that comprises every fibre
of our infinite universe

the transubstantiation
the transmogrification of music incarnate
sparks of frantic delight
waves of creation
driven on Vayu’s blessed breath
Amaterasu streaking out on Sol’s golden chariot
soaring across the darkness
sounding out into the silence.

Ra’s childrenangels tagging the Cosmos
splashing the eternal void
with golden light
angering Hades
glowering in dead silence as they pass
surfing golden rays of the sun into infinity.
And beyond.
