A pandemic victim...

What is it that drives me? You ask.
I don't know...
Could it be God's grip
that's seemingly growing cold..?
Alone with pen in hand,
in a dark and quiet place...
Driven to this life I lead,
though I'd rather be face to face!
Given no choice, I fight this
fight alone...
If I lose my grip and slip,
will this battle become unknown?
Will it be worth it in the END...?
Of this I cannot say.
So many lost, so many it seems,
though once they were a friend...

About this poem

Having been forced to be alone during the pandemic (as so many were), this was a short written therapy.
