Youth of Sherwood Forest
One of forest’s little ones
Vigorous and free
Running from the Baron’s blade
Scampering, tree to tree.
Having touch with critters all.
Never meaning harm.
Sparrow in the gentle hand
Falcon on the arm.
Bivouac against the rains.
Campfire blazing bright.
Stories told of Robin Hood.
Resting well this night.
