You Better Be Ready

You better be ready

How do you stop it?
How do you numb the pain?
How do you end the sorrow?
Why have I been betrayed?
Behind four falls
I hear the screams
I see the cracks
And yet why can’t I be set free
I see the sun set
I see the moon rise
But even then
I am trapped inside
You promised me a life
You said you would wait
But then why?
Why were you not by the gate?
Like a bird
I am trapped
In a cage
Where you should have sat
How do you stop it?
How do you numb the pain?
How do you end the sorrow?
Why have I been betrayed?
But do not worry
For soon I will be free
And then my dear
You will have nowhere to flee
