The View from the Fourteenth Floor.

Amidst the bustling of the sleepless city lights,
during the hopelessly dark, gloomy night,
stand I, on the balcony of the fourteenth floor,
close, yet far away from the abyss that lies below.

My grip feels cold and sweaty,
my breath, slow and heavy.
On my heart, is a pressure I can’t ignore,
for it’s simply safety and love that I implore.

My sense of well-being no longer exists,
and with every breath i take my sanity slips,
off the balcony of the fourteenth floor,
deep into the abyss that lies below.

It’s serene, the view from the fourteenth floor,
but I don’t think it’s enough to keep me alive anymore.

Amidst the bustling of the sleepless city lights,
during the hopelessly dark, gloomy night,
I no longer stand on the balcony of the fourteenth floor,
I’m forever floating in the abyss that lies below.
