Rose coloured glasses.

Caysie Alexandra 1999 (Birmingham)

I got new glasses today,
And I am utterly shocked to find that this is how people see the world.
Was it always like this? Were my frames always this shattered?
My head doesn’t hurt anymore, not like last week, and I can see clearly now.
It’s not a blur, how has it cleared?
Was the world always supposed to look this way?
Or is it dressing up for me?
My frames aren’t coloured rose, they’re transparent, that’s what they told me.
I have to adjust them continuously, but they work!
I can see,
I can see,
I can finally see!
I got new glasses today.
