Flawsome

FLAWSOME

We'll never drown
Not as long as we live
We'll never break down
Not as long as we forgive
We'll sometimes get hurt
We'll sometimes be in discomfort
We'll sometimes get depressed
We'll sometimes be at rest

Opportunities come and go
"Once again" becomes "long ago"
Memories in every corner of our minds
Bleeding hearts, fates intertwined
We sat the clock round lost in thoughts
We held each other and loved a lot
Peace descended like a cloud from heaven
Betrayal ascended from a smoking cauldron

Wild wolves roam the wintry rage
A two-toed toad tried to win backstage
Misfortune to some ventures
Billowing splendour with few anchors
Plucking the grass to know where sits the wind
Hatred should abound, but there's no need
Sadness lays upon its burial like a shroud
Happiness is not always lost in the crowd

We'll never drown
Not as long as we live
We'll never break down
Not as long as we forgive
You lose it if you bury it with much care
You can't enjoy all things dear
Don't get caught by a melancholy bait
Don't buy this world with too much care, it's not too late
It's not for them, it's for you.

About this poem

Life is not always beautiful, but we can make it beautiful by accepting its flaws. No one's perfect, perfection is loving our imperfections.
