Dried Roses

Dried roses-
What do they symbolise?
Is it tiresome love
Or abandoned beauty?
Do you call it unattractive wit
Or wisdom now dull?
Is it a dead blossom-
Love but not alive?
Or is it betrayal done right
In love's own hive?
Funny how symbols die.
Funny how roses dry.

About this poem

To describe this poem in a few words would mean "much said in less words". It's in its nature expressive, while the sound of the words hold a subtle rhyme. Typically about love and loss, inciting curiosity about the rose that's dead.
