An unknown path

I was unknown about where my life was leading me,
I was even unknown about whether I was doing right or wrong,
Maybe that was what lead me to unfold some mysteries,
A mystery of happiness and sorrow.

Unknown about my own life,
I was like a lifeless soul wandering alone,
Until I learnt what my life wanted to teach me,
A lesson about being alone and happy.

Maybe that was what I was not able to understand at that time,
But thinking about it now my life,
It was like the same road that was not travelled before,
Maybe a road that had many unfold mysteries.

That road taught me to value self-respect,
It made me love myself and value the present,
Sometimes I think what if I had remained unknown,
Maybe I would have lost many opportunities to view the life from a close angle.
