A warm encounter

Fauzia 2004 (kumasi)

Before I could make a wish, you found your place in my heart
I wasn't ready for another intrusion, yet I let you stay
I had no clue what you were like, but I figured you'd play
I looked at you closely and realized you are a work of art
But your heart was in bitty parts
If so, why were you in to try another way? In solitude, I wanted to be till gray Obstinate as you were, you weren't ready to depart
Your smile was as gracious as a daffodil in summer You lit up the very last flame in me
I felt complete and I smiled to let you know
My heart sounded like it had been beaten by a drummer
I had found solace in thee
And I didn't want to let go
