A beautiful mess
Once there lived a girl with a ton of insecurities
Messed up and confused, full of immaturity.
It wasn't that she was a lazy lass
But times were such that made her crass
Thinking bout the future gave her a fright
So she pondered and pondered with all her might
Whether things were right or wrong
What if this wasn't where she belonged
For all that she thought was well planned out
Seemed mockery of fate without any doubt
For each and everything seemed wrong
Her choices and her plans too
For it was becoming very difficult
To keep things going through
She was utterly tired and exhausted
And didn't know how things lasted
Till now, since so long
Cause it was only pain prolonged.
Her choices were different the ones the world would never approve.
For them she'd always be an erratic wierdo, a stupid problematic recluse.
She was nothing but a disaster
Though a beautiful one
But it didn't matter
Cause people always made fun
Of her, her being, her choices and her thoughts
For she was incomprehensible to the normal lot.
She was as open as the sky with nothing to hide
She loved adventure and was always up for a ride.
She wasn't the calm before the storm
but the storm itself
She wasn't who to conformed to norms
And believed in dwarfs, gnomes and elves.
She was beauty and chaos intertwined
She could be the unforgiving thunder or a breeze benign
She was chaos whom the world despised
She was a curse, a sorcery in disguise
Such was she, an enchanted mystery
Who'd always dream of writing her own story.
For she loved to divulge in the art
Of articulating all that was in her heart.
Usually she'd vanish, time travel through the ages
Skimming and scanning through the pages
Of books old and new
Some of history, art and some of stories too
Reading and writing were her beloved
They were to her just like Romeo to Juliet
And as usual the world couldn't let them be
For that was the wretched destiny.
And hence it became too much for her to bear
Cause the world now became the villian of her affair.
Now the grand plan of her future which had decided the course of her life
Was seen as a devil who wreaked her soul , one who stuck her heart with a knife.
Thus the one who once was a ferocious thunder
Lost to the world and at the end surrendered.
She was devastated for it was too much for that wilful of a soul
But all this had to be done to achieve the future goals.
She became devoid of life,
pretending that everything was fine
However things were too obvious
cause she looked like a star who lost it's shine
She often asked the world
If things weren't meant to be, why this affair had to start?
To which it tauntingly replied
That's not the way things work sweetheart
How could I let you be,
When it was a pre destined tragedy.
A tragedy that was inevitable
of you decrying your comfy bubble
It happens with everyone
at some point or the other
Don't think much or dwell onto it further
It's all same for me and you
You just have to hang in there
until you get through.
